**Betula 1.3.1** is the fifth release of Betula. It was released on 2024-06-10, basically a day after [[v1.3.0.html | v1.3.0]] and four months after [[v1.2.0.html | v1.2.0]].

== New after 1.2.0
* **You can subscribe to any Betula now**, and bookmarks will be shown in your Timeline.
** It actually works! You can also repost these bookmarks.
** Less reasons to open your RSS reader.
* Known bookmarks by other people are shown on their profiles.
** In general, your Betula remembers only those bookmarks that were published while you were subscribed to the their authors.
* New link in the sidebar: Random.
** If you click on it, 20 random bookmarks will be shown.
* Dark theme
* `-version` and `-help` command-line options were added.
* A session manager was added, you can find it on the Profile page.
* Minimal Go version requirement lifted to 1.22.
* Bugs were fixed.

== New after 1.3.0
* There was a critical bug regarding the newly added `/` hotkey. Rather than fixing it now, the hotkey was just deleted. Expect it to come back in a future release.
* An experiment regarding dropping the C-language SQLite driver was conducted. Due to it taking too much memory during compilation, which is unacceptable for our use cases, the Go-language driver was dropped. Do not expect it to come back in a future release, CGO shall probably remain a requirement for the future.
